About Us

Christ is Lord International Church originated as a prayer group during the war in Sierra Leone in 2004. Since then, it has evolved into a church with a branch in Philadelphia established in 2017, with the support of the community. The church, under the leadership of Pastor Kandeh Simeon Mansaray, is actively in providing programs for new immigrants and making a positive impact in the community. ministry is comprehensive, encompassing teaching and preaching the word, as well as rescuing and caring for those in need.

Our church offers a wide range of programs for people of all ages and backgrounds. From mental health support to distributing food to those in need, we are committed to serving our community. We also provide transportation for those who cannot drive and assist individuals in adjusting to life in America. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us.

Rev. Dr. Gibrilla Sapunka Bangura

Rev Dr. Gibrilla Bangura was born and raised a Muslim, with his father being a priest of Islam. However, in 1987, he was introduced to Jesus someone from the Wesleyan of Sierra Leone and he gave his life to Christ. facing persecution from his family, he pursued his calling to become a pastor completed a degree in bible and theology from Evangel Bible College of The Assembly's of God. He became the senior pastor of The Faith Assembly of God Church in Sierra Leone in 1992 and migrated to the United States in 1998 to continue his. He obtained a Masters of Divinity from Howard University in 2012 and a Doctor in Ministry degree from LOGOS University in Florida in 2023. He is happily married with four children and is the pastor and founder of Christ Is Lord International.
